Via SBS, Scandinavian Boiler Service, Barker Jørgensen received a request from a cruise ship for an urgent supply of the fan for the boiler for the warm water supply.

The installed fan was broken down. Without warm water supply, the vessel had to lie dormant with a substantial loss of revenue as a consequence.

On July 8th the RFQ and the quotation were exchanged, on July 10th the order was placed and on July 14th the fan with motor was airfreighted. In the interval, the fan’s final design and position, the transportation and export documents were clarified.

Furthermore, in view of the fact that Barker Jørgensen was replacing a fan of another make and the fan design had to be adapted to the existing installation, above case is a fine illustration of rapid order handling and as well as it underlines the flexibility in Barker Jørgensen’s line of production.
